date night

Tomorrow night Alex works so we had date night tonight instead. We went to the gym together and noticed my sister was working at Jimmy Johns. After the gym we picked up dinner and visited my sister, then went to three different Redbox's to find The Lucky One. I didn't realize that Zac Efron was the main actor and I was really disappointed because that is so NOT how I pictured him in the book, oh well. I must say this is my favorite version of the "dinner + a movie date." Happy date night!

running & i

Tonight Alex managed at Pizza Factory and he invited me to come in and have dinner with him, yay! My family went shopping at Lin's and then picked me after to come over while Alex worked. On our way my mom decided that she really wanted a hot fudge sundae from McDonalds. Well that conversation died real fast when my sister suddenly said Tori, let's go on a run. HA. I am like, the worst when it comes to running. SO completely pathetic. As she continues to try and talk me into running with her my little brother Kaleb has a grand idea. Let's run to McDonalds, mom can meet us there to pick us up and we can get hot fudge sundae's after. Somehow they forced  talked me into going with them. So off we go. Keep in mind this run is less than a mile and a half. Like i said, pathetic. I kept up for about the first half mile, then the distancing began. First they were ten yards ahead, then twenty, then forty, and then as they were about sixty yards ahead of me I pretty much gave up and got my speed walk on. Speed walking, right up my alley. Elliptical, I could go for hours. Running, forget it! Well lets just say I made it and only like two minutes after them which is pretty great for me! But I was definitely not in the mood for ice cream after that.

On a bit of a side note. Duck Dynasty anyone? We are SO addicted and we may or may not have had a party for the premiere of the third season tonight.

2012 blog book

As you know, I have an incredibly hard time just choosing one or two pictures for a post. So here ya go, a good chunk of our blog book! I made our book using Shutterfly and even though I spent hours and hours working on this dang this I am SO happy with the way it turned out. I know I will never sit down and scrapbook everything but I hope that I can keep this up!

Birthday of the QIT

Today, February 7th, is my sister (in law's) birthday! You guys, Abbey is the best! I am so so lucky to have her in my life! She truly has the sweetest spirit and is so kind to everyone. Her testimony is incredible and she isn't afraid to share it! She slept over last weekend and I loved that we could just stay up and talk all about life and whatever else. One thing you MUST know about Abbey is that she LOVES puzzles, or in our family, "puzzies." Please, if you ever have the urge to do a puzzle, call her!!! haha okay she hates doing puzzles, but she does them with me because she's the best. Happy Birthday Abs, I love you lots!! 

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. QIT = Queenie in Training. She will never admit to being the next Queenie, but we all know its coming! ;)

Articles of Faith

Part of our primary lesson was to memorize the 9th Article of Faith for today so I decided to make my 5 little eight year olds an Articles of Faith booklet. I decided that since I have been trying to learn Illustrator this would be a perfect opportunity for me! I actually put it together before church this morning, and it only took me about an hour! Yay! I decided to share because I thought it was kind of a cute little booklet!
