A couple weeks ago we planned a girls afternoon! We went and saw the movie "The Other Woman." Alex and Hans babysat the little boys so that we could go. What sweeties!

first lake day
The first lake day of the year was such a hit! Alex and Hans were the only ones that got in the reallyyy cold water but I loved just sitting in the boat, relaxing, and getting some much needed sun. There is nothing I like better than being out on the boat.

31 weeks!
How far along: 31 weeks (less than two months to go!)
Gender: Girl
Weight gain: 22 lbs.
Maternity clothes: The four maternity shirts I have, and the dress i bought are staples! I wear them more than i probably should! Although still stretching out my regular shirts one by one as I attempt to squeeze into them.
Belly button in or out: Flat? Does that count? I don't think my belly button is capable of popping out
Sleep: Every night is different! Some nights I wake up to pee 20 times and sometimes i sleep all night!
Best moment this week: Easter! One of my favorite holidays! I am really looking forward to the 4th of july! Little miss will be here then!
Miss anything: Things are going downhill fast in the energy & comfort department, really missing being able to keep up.
Movement: So many knees & elbows!
Cravings: I wouldn't say I crave it but fruit always sounds yummy!
Queasy or sick: In the mornings after I take my acid reflux medicine and have to wait 30 minutes to eat anything... I fight throwing up every day. One day this week I actually ended up throwing up! I do not miss that 3 times a day!!
Looking forward to: I finish my second semester of the program this week! YAY! I can't wait to spend time in the sun & getting this girl here!

Easter
Easter is always such a good time. The food, the egg toss, the gunny sack race, the easter egg hunt & Grandma Gates dressing up as the easter bunny and passing out an egg with $5 in it. I love tradition & easter with my favorite people. I am grateful for the family and friends that I have.
date night at anasazi
Since Eric and Sonny were coming down for the weekend, and John invited us all to a date night at Anasazi. Alex and I had never been there before so it was fun to go! We tried a few different cheese fondu's and cooked our steaks on rocks. My steak was huge and I was struggling trying to cut it up and keep track of all the different pieces cooking ha we had fun, and it was soo yummy! Thanks for the date night!
3D Ultrasound
The ultrasound tech drew sunglasses on her ha!
Alex and I decided to do the 3D ultrasound and I am soo glad we did. Our baby is the most perfect little thing I have ever seen. I love seeing her move and seeing all her fingers and toes. This little one has chunky cheeks, but that should be expected, she is definitely our baby! I loved that she always had to have her hand by her face, that is something I have always done! I can't sleep unless my hands are tucked right up by my face! During the ultrasound the cord kept touching her lips, it tickled her lips and she kept sticking her tongue out. It was way funny. Ah i love this little girl soo much, and the next few weeks can't go by fast enough. People keep telling me that my life is about to get a lot crazier with her being born and that it is a lot easier to take care of her while she is still inside my tummy... obviously it is, but I am dying to meet her, and I just want to snuggle this babe. I love you Kambree!
30 Weeks!
How far along: 30 Weeks, counting down weeks in the single digits now, holla!
Gender: Girl
Weight gain: 20 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Leggingsssss!
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Pretty good.
Miss anything: Getting comfortable & being able to breathe.
Movement: Starting to be able to distinguish movement from fingers & toes, always such a funny feeling!
Queasy or sick: I still have heartburn every now and then, but the sciatic pain is getting a little better i think.
Ten more weeks, yay!
fathers & sons
Alex is in the Elders Quorum presidency in our ward, and they were in charge of fathers and sons this year. I wondered if Alex would even go since he doesn't have any sons and he doesn't have a father in the ward ha. He decided he would go, but he took Ace and Linc with him. They went out to gunlock and played with the other little boys in the ward, and had dinner. After dinner they came and watched the Snow Canyon boys play for a little while. They sure had fun, and love spending time with their uncle Al!
sister date
I convinced Sadie to go and get a pedicure with me at Taylor Andrews & I think that was definitely one of my better ideas! It was so relaxing and so fun to spend some time with my little sister, I sure love her!
a pinata project
For one of my classes I had to do a presentation on the hispanic culture and their views on different things that involve the medical field, like their views on death and dying, and some of the things they believe. We decided to make it a little bit of a fiesta (or distract our teacher from our presentation) and liven things up with a pinata! I made this pinata and it was actually quite easy! I cut the two sides of the skull out of the big sides of the box, and then i used the flaps on the box and bent them to shape the inbetween. Instead of using tissue paper, I used one of the plastic tablecloths from the dollar store and cut it into strips. Then I just used black paper for the eyes and the mouth. It turned out pretty good, and it was a hit in class! Yay for good grades!
Alex's 24th Birthday!
On Alex's Birthday we both had class, so I woke up super early to study since I had a test, then I made waffles for breakfast, yum! I was planning on doing breakfast in bed but then he walked into the kitchen sooo so much for that. I let him open up his gear pro in the morning, but I made him wait for his other present until later! I think he really liked it, we are excited to take it to the lake this summer!
For Alex's birthday lunch we went to one of his favorite places for lunch! Red Lobster!! It was delicious! He hates being sung to so I made sure to tell them it was his birthday;) We also gave him the driver he has been wanting at lunch and he was soooo excited. He said he was wanting to go get it after lunch if I didn't buy it for him using his birthday money ha! So glad i got it!! We still ended up going to the golf store after lunch because there was a deal that if you buy a driver you get some other golf club for free! Since I had just bought the driver Jordan had us return it and re-buy it so we could get the other golf club for free, Alex was giddy. As we were leaving Jordan said soo 7:00 tonight right? I just started laughing and Alex was so confused. I had a little surprise party planned except i forgot to tell them it was a surprise, I just figured they knew ha whoops! It was still fun though, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner with some friends, Alex LOVES B-DUB-DUBS and I hate it, but it was his birthday, so we went.
After dinner we headed to our house for ice cream cake, YUM! Alex didn't know about this either so that was fun, I love surprising him! Hope you had a good day sweets, I love you soo much!
29 Weeks!
How far along? 29 Weeks
Total weight gain: 20 PoundsMaternity clothes? I said goodbye to my scrub tops today. They were probably going to burst at the seams if i tried to wear them one more time!! I was trying to make them last since I only have three weeks of wearing red scrubs left but it was pretty much not going to happen!
Sleep: It depends on the day (night.) Sometimes I am up ten times during the night and sometimes I sleep through the night.
Miss Anything? Wearing whatever I want, my choices are getting pretty limited these days. I miss being able to move my body!
Movement: SO MUCH! I love this little girl!
Food cravings: I always want chocolate so I pretty much can't count that as a craving.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I had a patient this week that had a bowel movement during the exam... I just about lost it.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Heartburn and I am so dang hot all the time! Thank goodness I won't be pregnant during the hottest part of the summer, I would die.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
28 Weeks!
How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain: 19 pounds
Maternity clothes? I have only bought two maternity shirts and a dress from target. I usually just wear sweats anyways and those fit me pretty good still!
Sleep: I get up in the night quite a bit to pee but I can usually go right back to sleep!
Best moment this week: officially rolling into the third trimester - I can't express how excited I am to meet my sweet baby girl!
Miss Anything? Being comfortable!!
Movement: all the time, especially at night! She is always on the move!
Food cravings: Nope.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Still lots of heartburn, thank goodness for medicine though, it helps me enough to get me through the day.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy.. although I do get frustrated when I have the sciatic pain in my hips and walking/moving in anyways hurts so so bad. I hate that I can't even walk and it usually ends in lots of tears.
Weird moment this week: Saturday night I woke up at 2AM and was really struggling to breathe. I got up and walked around, had some water, and sat in the recliner for a bit. I tried to go back to bed but I just laid there and struggled to breathe for hours. It was the weirdest thing. Anytime I tried to take a deep breath my throat made a kind of gurgling noise? I think it had something to do with the reflux I have had. I'm not really sure it was so strange. I spent Sunday just relaxing at home. I still was having a hard time breathing but nothing like it was in the night. I'm not sure what happened but I am sure glad it is gone!
