NEW YEARS EVE

We headed up the mountain to Pine Valley for New Years Eve this year. We had a great night with family, playing games and having homemade pizza and breadsticks, yum! We had to head home earlier than usual since the snow started coming down pretty hard. Kambree screamed her head off almost the whole way home. It was awful. She was screaming so hard she wasn't breathing and I was freaking out. We think maybe her ears hurt from the pressure change of coming off the mountain because as soon as we came into town she settled down and went right to sleep. When we got home we all went right to bed, we were exhausted! Happy New Year!!

Road trip to SLC

We packed up and headed up north for a fun weekend with the Fred's! We drove up Friday and met at City Creek for Kambree to get her picture taken with Santa, she smiled so big, I was so happy! The next day we shopped and ate at Zupas, my favorite! Saturday night we went to the Jazz game, we had amazing seats and it was good to go out with my favorite guy! I had a hard time leaving Kambree though... I hate leaving her whenever I don't have to for school, work etc. Sunday morning we woke up to snow, no thanks! So we packed up and headed home to play with cousins! Thanks for the fun weekend Fred family!! Oh and Kambree peed and pooped in her car seat on the way home soooo that was a fun way to end the trip! ;)

Idaho Falls, Idaho

Somehow Alex talked me into going to Idaho with him. I don't know how he did it. Probably because there is snow in St. George and there is snow in Idaho so no matter what I was stuck in snow. I'm not really a snow/winter person. We headed up after work on a Friday afternoon. We made a pit stop in Salt Lake and stayed at Heidi's house that night. It was so nice to break up the drive. That night we went to Cafe Trio and it was so yummy. We had flatbread with goat cheese for an appetizer and I must say I was a little skeptical about it. It was delicious!! I got a flatbread pizza and it was pretty good but the flatbread with goat cheese was divine. That night we stayed up late and played cards. I won:) The next morning we got up and went to breakfast at a place called Blue Plate Diner. They didn't even have blue plates, like what? It was yummy though and off we went to Idaho. Alex knew I was uncomfortable in the car and he kept telling me to sleep. I usually feel guilty sleeping while he drives but I was uncomfortable and I am pretty much always tired these days. We first stopped in Pocatello to meet Elder Pulliam's parents and family. They treated all of us to Cafe Rio. They were so nice! Then we drove another 45 minutes to Idaho Falls. We didn't do a lot this trip aside from eat, shop, and relax. It was so nice to not have to worry about working or school and just do nothing! They had a Mrs. Powell's restaurant that i was dying to go to! We used to have one in St. George and it was one of my favorites as a little girl. It did not disappoint! We also went and saw the Idaho Falls and the Idaho Falls temple. It was beautiful. I love seeing all the different temples! Thanks for having us Sam and Linsdey, now it's your turn to come visit us when it is warm!!

snow in st. george

This year we had an insane amount of snow in St. George! The snow started falling on Friday night and it snowed all day on Saturday. Alex and I both got out of work because of the snow and instead of playing in the snow we took advantage of a day off work and school and just relaxed! We stayed inside and watched the snow fall. That night we did decide to have a snowball fight. Big mistake on my part. Alex kicked my butt! We had a lot of fun though! Then Alex had a really awful idea. He thought we could drive over to Santa Clara to watch the Jazz game. We were so worried that we wouldn't be able to get home the next morning so we ended up taking all our stuff to stay the night with us. The drive over was so scary! It took us fifty minutes to get to our parents house probably. The only problem was that they power was out at both our parents houses when we got over there! Since we hadn't eaten dinner and we couldn't make anything over there, Alex's parents took us to pizza factory for dinner. Yum! Then we went over to my parents for a little while. It was actually kind of fun! The power was out for almost three hours. It was crazy! We ended up staying the night at Alex's parents house and church was cancelled the next day because the roads were so bad! I was really grateful that we just got to stay at home all day Sunday. We had finals the next two days and it was really nice to get a little extra study time!
