one month check-up

Our little Kam is growing soo fast! She weighs 8 pounds 15 ounces: 50% and is 22.5 inches: 90% Time is going by so quickly.

twenty-one

My twenty-first birthday was a pretty great one. My mom watched Kam in the morning while I went and got another chest x-ray and picked up the flowers for her newborn pictures. Then we had lunch at pizza factory with my brothers, my sister, and my grandma. It was delicious as usual! After lunch we went and got Kambree's newborn pictures done. Alex and I had planned to go out for dinner on my birthday but we were so full from lunch that we didn't end up even going! We had cake and ice cream with my family and we called it a night! Mitzi sent me a birthday package from Nashville and she sent a few outfits for Kambree. It was a really good day!

Kambree's Newborn Pictures

We ended up doing K's pictures just one day before she turned one month old. We had a rough little start to our family of three so newborn pictures weren't exactly on the top of our list. Thank goodness Paige was willing to get us in last minute! As hard as we tried to get her to sleep during the pictures she was wide awake the whole time, oh well! They turned out pretty cute. Love my girl!

my outside girl

This sweet thing can't get enough of the sunshine. We spend a good chuck of our days until the shade of a really big tree in our backyard. I love it & I love my girl. I wish summer would never end.

fire!

One Sunday afternoon we headed over to Alex's parents, when we got there we saw a whole lot of smoke and a fire truck. We quickly ran inside to see what was going on. Hans had burned some weeds the day before and they had somehow caught back on fire. Thank goodness they saw it in time and the fire department was able to get there quickly or it could have easily reached their house or the houses around it. We are so glad everyone was safe!

shower time!

K's cord finally fell of so we put her in the shower with us! She loooved it! I think she could have stayed in there all day long. She loved the warm water running on her. After the shower we put her in her robe and she was so mad ha. I think she was cold after being in that warm water, but we are so glad she loves the shower since we don't have a bathtub!

Pink Toes

My mom and Sadie asked if they could paint Kambree's toes. They painted them pink and they are soo cute.

Kambree's Fan Club

Kam is a pretty lucky little girl to have three little cousins that adore her. They can't get enough of her teeny little fingers and toes, and they love to hold her! (With lots of help!)

Eric + Sunny

Even though I wasn't feeling that great we decided we really should go up to Eric and Sunny's wedding and i'm really glad we did. We hung out in the hotel for the most part which was actually pretty relaxing. The nights were awful. It was even harder to breathe for me up there and Kambree slept terribly. We ended up going on really late night drives trying to get the baby to sleep and it just wasn't a good situation. But we lived and we made it through the wedding weekend! Eric and Sunny had their reception the night before their wedding. It was gorgeous! & the gelato was to die for! Alex and I probably ate more than our fair share, oops! We were able to stay longer than I thought, we were glad K was being good so lots of family members could meet her. The next morning was the wedding and we were seriously worried about getting there on time. We were able to get there on time, thank goodness! We had arranged for Alex's cousin Anna to watch Kam while we all went to the ceremony, I was so worried she would cry the whole time. When we were getting our recommends scanned they told me I had brought my old one. I couldn't believe it. Then I had to wait for them to call my stake president, it was so stressful. I was going to be pretty mad if I couldn't go to the wedding, I really wanted to be there. I was glad one of Alex's aunt's forgot hers too so I had someone to wait with, and we walked into the wedding late together ha. We were so glad they got ahold of our stake presidents in time! The ceremony was amazing. I love going to weddings, especially in the temple. I was really relieved when got back to Kambree and Anna and Kambree was still asleep, yay! After the ceremony, it was time for pictures. Kambree was ready to eat and she was reallyyyy mad that the sun was shining right in her face. Pictures weren't very fun ha. After we finally got done with pictures we went down the street to a little park where there was lunch catered by kneaders, yum! We ended up just visiting for a couple hours and then we went back to our hotel, packed up and headed home. We were so lucky that K slept all the way up and all the way back from Salt Lake, and I even got a little nap too! It ended up being a good trip and I am really glad we decided to go up. It surely wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Congrats Eric and Sunny!
